  • During the 16th edition of the Health, Wellbeing and Business Congress for Executives and Businesswomen, Maria José Valenzuela, Corporate People Director of Dentaid, emphasised how maintaining good oral health contributes to improving people's general wellbeing.
    Barcelona, November 14, 2024 - Dentaid took part in the Women 360º Congress, joining the second roundtable discussion on “Health and Wellbeing Prevention in the Workplace”.
    Specifically, Maria José Valenzuela, Corporate People Director of Dentaid, intervened with a presentation on “Oral Health and Quality of Life”. The oral cavity is essential for carrying out numerous daily activities, such as communicating, eating, breathing, etc. Therefore, any changes in oral health can directly affect people's quality of life and wellbeing.
    In this regard, Maria José Valenzuela explained that: “By taking care of our mouths, we can prevent and reduce many of the conditions associated with oral health at various stages of life.” She also added, “At a time when we protect ourselves from external threats by wearing masks to prevent the spread of pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, our mouth becomes even more crucial as a route for the transmission of various viruses.”
    The meeting also addressed how proper oral care can improve people's quality of life. At this point, María José Valenzuela explained that maintaining good oral health prevents the onset of oral diseases and helps reduce the risk of systemic complications.
    “At Dentaid, improving people's oral health is our core mission and the driving force behind our innovation and products. “Understanding, educating, and communicating the importance of maintaining good oral health and care habits is essential to ensuring overall quality of life and health,” concluded Ms. Valenzuela.
    Under the theme of “Humanising and Leading Health and Business,” the event took place in person on Tuesday, October 26, at the Auditorium of the University of Barcelona. It brought together experts in comprehensive and transformational leadership, who participated in various roundtables focused on human relationships, health and well-being. For the third consecutive year, the Women 360º Congress was co-organised by the University of Barcelona, ​​through the IL3-UB Continuing Education Institute.
    Additionally, as every year, companies and organisations, including the Barcelona City Council, the College of Pharmacists, the College of Nurses, and the College of Physicians of Barcelona, as well as Foment del Treball and the Fundació TIC Salut Social, among others, contributed to making this event possible.
