PERIO·AID® SYMPOSIUM

On October 28th, a special event will be held for dentists in the unique setting of the Modernist Complex of the Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona: the Perio·Aid Symposium, whose main theme will be an update on the interrelation between periodontics and other dental disciplines.
Professor Marco Cune from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) will inaugurate the Perio·Aid® Symposium with his lecture “White is the New Grey: Zirconium in Transmucosal Applications,” introducing us to the world of restorative dentistry without metals and presenting its advantages and disadvantages.
Secondly, Dr. Michiel de Cleen, a specialist in endodontics with a private practice in Amsterdam, will participate with his talk on "The Endo-Perio Relationship, Current Concepts and Clinical Implications,” presenting the keys to proper diagnosis and treatment of combined periodontic-endodontic lesions.
Dr. Kathrin Becker and Dr. Ausra Ramanauskaite from the University of Dusseldorf (Germany) will make a presentation with a very scientific approach to the peri-implant treatments available and their indications, according to existing scientific evidence.
The final part of this meeting will be made by Dr. Kamy Malekian, an orthodontist with a private practice in Madrid, who will update us on the use of invisible aligners for orthodontic treatment in periodontal patients.
Throughout the event, we will be joined by Dr. Andrés Pascual, the current Co-Director of the Master's degree in Periodontics at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, who will chair the event.
The Perio·Aid ® Symposium will be given in English and we will have simultaneous translation as required.
