On the homepage under the
“What is xerostomia?” section, it specifies what this oral condition is, what
its signs and symptoms are, who suffers dry mouth, why it occurs and how this
problem affects the day-to-day life of those who suffer it, besides offering
solutions with products specifically formulated to treat this condition.
In general, xerostomia shows a prevalence of 20% to
40% and is most common in women, seniors and poly-medicated patients. This
prevalence is growing because of the large number of people who are currently
taking more than one medication, and it is therefore necessary to focus
attention on this group of patients.
