The toothbrush is the basis of daily oral hygiene, since it is necessary to remove dental biofilm and food debris. VITIS® offers a wide range of toothbrushes with features that are ideal for cleaning the mouth and removing dental biofilm.
Because no two mouths are alike, the VITIS® range of brushes has been designed to adapt to each and every one.
A brush in poor condition cannot effectively remove oral biofilm and can also damage the gums. Replace your brush every 3 months.
To brush properly, you need to use a quality toothbrush adapted to the needs of your mouth, and you must apply a proper brushing technique. You also need to use a toothpaste that cares for the entire mouth, teeth and gums. Brush for at least 2 minutes, devoting 30 seconds to each quadrant.
Don’t forget to clean your tongue every day with the Halita tongue cleaner after brushing your teeth.
The greatest number of bacteria in the oral cavity build up on your tongue, and according to research, 41% of bad breath cases originate on the tongue, so it is important to clean it every day with a tongue cleaner. If you see a whitish or a yellowish film on your tongue, it is a sign that your tongue is not clean.
This film is known as tongue coating and is defined as an adherent layer composed of desquamated cells, metabolites, nutrients and bacteria. This thin film causes bad breath, since the microorganisms it contains produce malodourous gases known as Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VSC).
On top of this, it is important to note that the tongue is a difficult area to be cleaned with a toothbrush, so the use of a tongue cleaner is recommended.
This removes the film of bacteria and food residue that forms on the surface of the tongue and produces smelly gases.
Essential for daily use, along with a toothbrush, to get rid of and prevent bad breath.
To boost this campaign and to make the tongue cleaner the toothbrush’s inseparable companion, we want its recommendation to be encouraged at the pharmacy, via samples on display, to thereby raise awareness among the population of the need for daily tongue cleaning.
