To that end, interproximal hygiene—a habit that is not very common amongst the general public—is essential when it comes to ensuring thorough cleansing. To recommend the best solution for every patient, it is necessary to ascertain the nature of the space between their teeth. In closed spaces, where there is crowding, or the gum occupies the entire interproximal space, the use of dental floss or tape is the best option. For open gaps, where the gum does not occupy the entire space, the use of interproximal brushes is recommendable. Oral irrigators are also a good complement to brushing, no matter the type of space.
The Interprox® range complies with ISO Standar 16.409, guaranteeing firm retention of the filaments, strong retention of the wire and high brush durability.
For greater comfort during use, the wire in Interprox® brushes is covered with polyurethane in order to protect the teeth and gums from injury, and also to protect implants. Interprox® is synonymous with innovation, and one example is that the brushes feature white Tynex® filaments to detect bleeding points and black filaments that highlight areas with oral biofilm. Patients are thus made aware of the importance of thorough cleansing, and they can even use the brush away from home, thanks to the protective cap that allows it to be carried around conveniently.
