Maximum efficacy in the prevention of gum disease

Periodontal disease is the most prevalent disease in human beings. Gingivitis may affect some 60 or 70% of the population. To prevent patients with delicate gums from suffering the most severe stages of this disease (periodontitis or peri-implantitis), optimal prevention is essential.
Prevention and treatment of gum disease should include a combination of mechanical treatment (disruption of the oral biofilm) and chemical treatment (use of antiseptics as a complement to mechanical treatment), both in the dental office and at home.
