The truth is, halitosis has a high prevalence: around 30% of the adult population has or has had halitosis at some time.
In 90% of all cases, the source of the problem is in the oral cavity. It is also important to remember that in order to fight halitosis, it is necessary to perform a differential diagnosis to consider all symptoms.
The diagnosis will be done by a dentist, who besides making patients aware of the importance of this condition, will also be in charge of preventing, diagnosing and treating it.
With specific treatment and oral hygiene with products combining chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX), cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and zinc lactate together with a tongue cleaner, halitosis does have a solution.
