Periodontal Diseases Prevention with VITIS gingival

A biofilm is a group of complex differential bacterial communities that offer bacteria a series of advantages for their survival: communication (quorum sensing), resistance and the ability to adapt. The consequences of oral biofilm development are caries and periodontal disease.
Importance of taking measures in the initial phases
Given the complexity of an oral biofilm, it is essential to take measures during the initial phases of development to prevent periodontitis.
VITIS gingival is the most appropriately-formulated antiseptic for adequate prevention.
A recent study published in the International Journal of Dental Hygiene* 2010 proves 4-day efficacy of Vitis gingival mouthwash with the following parameters:
• The test group (Vitis gingival) shows less inflammation after 4 days compared with the control group
• Plaque reduction with Vitis gingival after 4 days is significant compared with the control group
• No clinical or microbiological adverse effects were observed
• Patients that used Vitis gingival as their only oral hygiene method did not present a significant increase in their oral bacterial counts
